I am Joyce Alexander – I am a retired pastor, and a retired oncology nurse. I now live in Port Orange, Florida, after retiring from pastoring Big Pine United Methodist Church on Big Pine Key in January, 2016. I had worked in nursing for some 40 years when I felt God’s calling to ministry; I attended Asbury Seminary, graduated in 2007, and received my first appointment. I was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 2011. Although my time in ministry was short, it was meaningful to me, and I pray, to my congregations. This blog is my way of continuing to speak the words that God puts on my heart.
